She is just a doll. Glad to see another wonderful family on this glorious journey. Loved the You are My Sunshine, who sings that version? It's great!!!
Wow - what a cute kid! My son Joe is almost 6 1/2 years old. I wrote about my birth experience with him (and then heart surgery) for NPR's "This I Believe." I have come to understand that we all have these moving stories.

Proud wife of my school teacher husband Chad and mommy to Madison Lynne, born 4/11/08. The day following Maddie's birth we learned she had Down Syndrome (trisomy 21) and when she was 7 weeks old we were told that she is permanantly hearing impaired with profound to severe bilateral hearing loss(both ears). From what we have been told the odds of having a child that has both DS and the type of hearing loss Maddie does is about 1 in 280,000. Maddie recieved hearing aids at 4 months old and it is a daily battle to keep them on her little ears. Chad and I were blessed with our beautiful andgel to raise and we will give her the most fullfilling life imaginable.
Thank you for sharing your story with the rest of us. Maddie is absolutely gorgeous & I loved that music you have on the video too. :-)
